Epidermal Levelling is a safe, painless and highly effective clinical treatment designed to evenly and deeply exfoliate the skin. It improves the texture of the skin, reduces fine fair facial hair and helps significantly enhance the penetration of active products. It is an excellent preparation for peels and can also be a standalone procedure.
The skin is cleansed thoroughly and then degreased to ensure there is no residual oil remaining on the skin. The skin is then held tight and the blade is scraped across the skin at a 45-degree angle.
Epidermal Levelling is performed with a stainless steel blade called an Epi-Blade. The Epi-Blade gently glides over the skin, removing the upper layers. removal of dead cell build up minimising congestion and pore blockage. It also increases the rate of new cell turnover in the deeper levels of the skin to stimulates the production of the skin’s own collagen and elastin increases absorption of active skin products.
Once the entire area has been treated, clients are able to return to their normal activities.
No it won’t. It is impossible to change ‘vellus hair’ into terminal (or thick) hair. Hair will grow back with your regular hair cycle, however, it WILL NOT grow back any darker or thicker.
Shaving facial or body hair gives the hair a blunt tip by cutting back against the growth. Epidermal Levelling uses a patented blade along the skin, tapering the hair off in its natural growth direction.
This treatment safely removes the Vellus hair known as “peach fuzz”.
After treatment it is usual to experience mild-moderate redness, swelling and a tingling/warm sensation. This will subside within 1-3 days.
It is important to note that those who suffer occasional breakouts may experience a slight temporary flare in acne post treatment.
No! Unlike shaving, hair is tapered off in the natural growth direction with a patented blade.
